Mooroolbark College take on the High Tech Hospital Challenge

Throughout the Term, the Year 8 students will be spending a day the Yarra Ranges Tech School. Here they will be completing the first part of the High Tech Hospital Challenge; working with robots to create programs to assist children and their recovery.  8A, 8C and 8F have already attended, with each class coming up with unique programs with their robots. Students had a great experience and have already begun asking, ‘when do they get to go back’!

Mater Christi Tech School Experience

Year 8 students from Mater Christi College, a Catholic Secondary schools for girls had the opportunity to partake in the Yarra Ranges Tech School program. Students undertook the High Tech Hospital Challenge where they were asked to program a humanoid or robotic puppy to assist children who were hospitalised.

Premier Daniel Andrews, Minister for Education James Merlino, Member for Eastern Victoria Daniel Mulino and Member for Eastern Metropolitan Region Shaun Leane officially opened Yarra Ranges Tech School on 18 April 2017.
